About 2 computer crashes ago I had a list I downloaded somewhere, showing tenon dimensions and thread pitch and shapes. I would like to have it again, and am hoping one of you has it and can post it. Thanks
Allen

Hope this helps,

Here is a bit of info I cut and pasted in other places..
thanks for the info, I am contemplating putting a small ring mauser barrel in a M17 Enfield action, I was checking to see if I would have to rethread the barrel to make room for a bushing.

Enfield SMLE -

Enfield 1917 -

Sako -

L57 = .984" Dia x 17 V-TPI,
L579 & early L61 = .870" L x 1.0" Dia x 16 V-TPI,
Late L61 = Same as L579, but 1.046" Dia.

Enfield Eddystone Model of 1917 barrel threads are 1.125 with 10 SQ T.R.I., length of barrel threads is .800 inch also stated as 1.125"x10, square threads.

The Browning BPCR and maybe all the Browning 1885's, as quoted to me on the BPCR Board, are .935" outside diameter, shank length is .920" and the threads are 20 per inch with a standard 60 degree form. Very similar to the Winchester 1885 but for the 20 threads per inch instead of 16 per inch in the Winchester.

Some barrel thread sizes

I have a list that I got from a 1970's nra book what do you need?

If you can find a copy of the NRA "Gunsmithing Guide," you will find several pages of barrel thread diagrams. This is an excellent book for anyone who would like to do some home gunsmithing.

They still show up at gun shows, used book dealers, and on E-bay. It might still be in print or available from the NRA in the states.
