Barrel tenon thread protectors (where can I find them)

When I remove a barrel from my receiver, I would like to get a soft protector for the threads (not muzzle device protectors) I used to see soft rubber type ones at Sinclair, but can't find them anywhere. Does anyone know where to find them. Barrels are straight 1 1/4"

try a hydraulic shop. they should have tons of plastic / soft rubber plugs / caps for various hoses. they'll probably even give them to you for free. 1 1/4 would be a number 20 line so they should have that on hand. i see youre close to barrie area, just north of you on hwy 11 is georgian equipment.

Not fancy but a couple of wraps of electricians tape works well.

you do not need the $5-6 fancy roll BTW

If you want good machined ones made from white delrin plastic, Sinclair Int. markets them for various threads but mostly Remington pitch. They screw right on the tenon.
