Barrel Tuning

Here's an interesting read on tuning a barrel. I've also read that if you sprinkle talc powder on you barrel and hit it to make it vibrate, the talc will accumulate at the node. Any experts out there that can verify this?

all kidding aside,it was a good read I remember way back when on Snipershide there Gerg L was working on a tuner all it was was a piece of rubber hose a two Zip Ties,then moving them out towards the muzzle,his groups where getting better,I think for the most part the idea has been Binned,


but Ruger's new (I hate to say this here....)Mini-14 Match uses a tunable weight at the muzzle to help it shoot,sorta the same way the BOSS works

There was an old guy at Ottawa this year, had a tuner, shot pretty good too. kinda makes you wonder??????????????//
