I thought if a barrel came from the factory shorter than 18 inches, it was non-restricted, but if you cut it, or gunsmith and etc, then it becomes restricted?
Cut the factory barrel on your rifle to less than 18", the rifle becomes prohibited.
If a rifle is rebarrelled, the only length that matters is the overall length.
