Jamie, you might want to look at the new gen 30mm rings from Burris. Hard for anyone to say these aren't strong, or durable enough to do the job.

When properly installed, the scope simply doesn't slip.

I have never had a problem with the Signature rings either... they work very well and they will never mark up a scope tube or induce stress on a scope as unlapped other rings will... I like them...

Best part is never having to lap the rings. I switch scopes between many rifles. Having a solid ring would cost me a small fortune having to lap or replace for every action.

There are many more benefits to these rings but that is a bit off topic.
