Hi;

I've got a Wingmaster 870, with a 28 ", fully choked barrell, that takes 2 3/4 inch shells. I was going to part with it but now that I've taken up Turkey hunting, I'm keeping it. ( the 2 3/4 turkey shells are good-to-go out to a max 30 yards).

However, I have also taken a liking to skeet shooting as well. Problem is, my Wingmaster, with the full choke, isn't really configured for it. I'd like to buy an another barrell instead of a new shotgun. I know there are much better skeet guns but I really like the older 870, and I'm not made of money.

I'm also looking for parts for my Cooey 16 guage model 84. I fired it last week and its not extracting properly. In fact, I had to dig the shells out with my multi-tool. Again, I dont want to part with it cause it'll probably be excellent for grouse. I want to dismantle, clean, and maybe replace the extractor, springs, etc. Any ideas on where to order these parts.

thanks lads ( and lasses ?)

You can get a remington 870 barrel threaded for remchokes, or get your wingmaster barrel threaded for remchokes by a gunsmith (50-100$)

For your Cooey, it's probably an ejector issue. You can get parts at numrich gun parts,brownells western gun parts (based in canada), etc. Cooeyguns are common (at least this side of the border).

5 years ago, I had the same cooey gun in 16 gauge. Light and in very good shape. It worked very well. Maybe you should start by a good cleaning and a chamber polishing. It wouldn't hurt.

thanks for this reply. Good advice..As for the Cooey, I oiled the heck out of it, and snapped it open and closed a couple of dozen times. I find that if it isnt ? "snapped," closed it doesn't eject a shell properly. Cheers!
