barrell play with mag extension

Im trying to put a magazine extension on my 870 wingmaster. When i screw on the extension there is maybe a 1/8 inch or less gap between the barrell ring that goes over the magazine tube and the end of the extension. I beleive its because of the thread depth on the extension , its a half turn to short. This of course leaves the barell loose and sloppy in the reciver making it unsuitable to fire. I was wondering if there is any kind of buffer or something to take up that gap or whether im missing something in the install ?

If its the factory. Unit
Screw the magtube ext nut on to the factory part of the mag tube infron of the barrle lug. Until its flush and tight. Then put in follower and spring and then screw the +2 ext tube onto the nut.
Install clamp, then reach into the mag tube where the follower is and push the follower a bunch of time. If the spring is twisted or tight it will spin a little and come true.
