I've tried searching the forums but got no hits, so I'd like to ask if anyone can point me in the direction of a Canuck company that sells barrels for S&W M&P 9s? I've tried all my favourite vendors as listed at the top of the CGN website, but no love (though that Apex kit looks sweet!)

If and when you find one, it'll require fitting by a smithy. Barrels are not drop in parts.
North Sylva is a Smith distributor. They'll be able to tell you if there are any in Canada and send you to a retailer.

Not true - some of them are indeed drop-in, advertised and sold as such. I have had very good luck with a KKM drop-in for my G23 making it a 9mm as well as a factory M&P9 barrel that has fit and functioned great in all 3 of my M&P40's...

x2. The Lone Wolf and IGB barrels are drop in for the Glocks.

From everything I've heard, the only M&P barrels that require fitting are S&W manufactured barrels.

I think that's a little (okay, a lot) strange.

I have since sold my M&P40 but...

I purchased a 9mm barrel from Brownells and had it shipped to a company in Niagara Falls. It was about $65 and fit perfectly.
I was later advised that although it was ok to IMPORT the barrel, under the ITAR rules it was illegal for me to EXPORT it. I don't suggest you break the law.
The 9mm barrel will fit in a .40 slide, but not the other way, so I'm told.

I'm wanting to get a 40-9 barrel for my M&P40.. Besides using 9mm mags do I need to change anything else for it to function properly.. I know storm lake and wolf barrels are just drop in... Wondering if any1 knows how KKM barrels fit..

Thanks Bernie

A stock S&W 9mm barrel should not be used in a .40 cal pistol. The tolerances are not exact and it can lead to serious problems down the road. Spend the extra cash on a Storm Lake conversion barrel...they are a precise drop in fit and work extremely well. Aside from 9mm mags, no other changes are necessary...the recoil spring works fine.

40-9 conversion barrel and 9mm mags is all you need.

Not really...sending you a PM on this.

Anyone try a KKM barrel?

M&P 9 and M&P 40 stock barrels have a slightly different size lug. So a 9mm stock barrel will be a bit lose when it's in Battery in a M&P 40..
