Barska on 700P

What do you guys think of mounting a barska SWAT 10-40x50mm illuminated rectile on a remington 700 Police? I want a high-power scope for long-range shooting, but I am not fond of spending over $1000.00 on a Leupold LR/T, and I think I'd want to keep the price of the scope around $500.00..... Anyone had any good/bad experiences with the Barska SWAT series? I noticed FNG762 has one on his armalite.......... By the way, the rifle will be in .308 or .300 RUM, still can't decide:D, but I think I'm pretty much set on the .300RUM for the longer range stuff..................

300meter 6 shot group (tape is 1" wide) no idea what size the group is?
my 10-40X50mm Mil dot Barska I can see the bullet hole at 300m on 40 power!!
very happy with my scope I did switch rings to ARMS med hight

barska scopes

i ordered a 8 x 32 44 ir milldot the other day they aparently have made some changes in weight and design for the better , i cant wait till i get my hands on it to mount it and crack in efew rounds to see how it hold 's up
 
I have one on my Savage10FpLe2B. It is a fair deal for the money but it is not a replacment for a Leopold. It has the typical thick black ring around your line of sight that you never seem to get with a higher end scope. The side focus knob is a great thing to have but I feel that it is oversized. I have some cheaper Simmons scopes that are clearer and brighter but none of them have the target turrets, mildots or side focus. I have a Tasco that is set up similar to my Barska on a M-14s and it is not even close to the quality and clarity of the Barska.
