I am wondering if anyone knows anything about this scope that was given to my brother in-law. I know its Barska 4x-16x. I think its a 50mm with 3" sun shade. And the rest of the marking I'm unsure of, I think they're yardage?... 20y, 50, 75, 100, 200, 300, and infinity all written on the sun shade which spins .Also by the eye piece it has the markings (+ 0 -). The inside of the sun shade is threaded and we don't know why that is either. Basically we know nothing please help!

Sorry, I don't know much. But from what I've read, Barska is imported Chinese junk

The yardage markings are your for focussing the objective lens. The sunshade is threaded to add another sunshade to increase its taticool look. The scope is garbage and is usually sitting atop a mossberg nighttrain lol. Sell it of give out away, the cheapest bushnell banner has better optics.
 
Yeah if that's shipped lol all kidding aside it will probably work fine depending what it's going on. If it were mine I'd try and react the scene from sniper or the episodes of myth busters and put a round tru the scope, could be fun to film
