Bartlein Barrels 400MODBB Canada

I'm looking at doing a new build and have heard great things about Bartlein barrels, specifically the new 400MODBB material that they are offering (supposedly double the barrel life).

Is anyone in Canada offering these? Ideally a prefit.

I ordered mine from Hirsch precision. Bartlein does not offer prefit barrel, they only do barrel blanks.

You could send your action to Hirsch Precision as they have gunsmith to fit the barrel. If they do not have what you need in stock, the lead time is about 8-9months or longer depends on your spec.

This would be going on an action that accepts prefits (like an Impact or similar) the advantage being the action is machined to such a high degree that a barrel can be spun up to their specs.

Torque the barrel on the action and you're done. Easy.

Sounds like I'd have to pick up a blank and find a gunsmith to spin it up.

Thanks for the link. Strangely that is where I first heard of the new material. It is still relatively new but double the barrel life seems to be what folks are saying.

Not a lot of info on where to pick up Bartleins in Canada on that thread, hence the question.

Anybody who is a dealer for Bartlein should be able to get a blank for you. Probably will be a bit of a wait.

I agree in that I think this is a pretty intriguing barrel option with the extended life.

Talk to the guys at Insite, they carry Bartleins and can spin you up a barrel.

What happens if you get bored with that particular barrel or caliber before it's shot out? What would a person do then?
