bases and rings

Needing to put some glass on my new win M70. Bought a Burris fullfield 2 and would like to use either Burris signature rings or ruger rings. I want to use Leupold STD bases but will these go together? Not sure how they all go together and what will work with what??? Any help in explaining would be appreciated. I'm aware of weaver and dovetale but am lost from there.

Yes, you can use Burris rings with Leupold bases. Look for the Burris Signature rings (not the Burris Zee rings) and they will work with the Leupold STD bases. The Signature rings have plastic inserts so your scope won't ever get ring marks.

The Burris Signiture rings are awsome. I've always used them with Weaver bases and they held up 100% kept my scope in mint shape as well.

How do people feel about the windage screws on the Leupold STD bases? Are they pretty secure? Given the abilities of todays scopes the windage screws are a bit redundant aren't they?
