I just ordered my first centerfire rifle and now need some bases. It is a stevens 200 in .223. I was planning on a B-square one piece from WSS, but (suprise!!) they are out of stock. Any other inexpensive 1 piece bases out there for order in canada? I have some burris 1" Zee rings already and a scope that will do for now.
The reason I went with one piece was that I'd be able to tell if it was out of alignment front to back and just bed it. Any way to tell this with 2 piece bases? I am sure I could find some weaver ones in town and as much as I dislike my local shop, I just want to get shooting as soon as possible!
Thoughts, flames, general tomfoolery and ballyhoo all encouraged!
