Well, I was at the new Calgary Bass Pro yesterday(Sat) and was suprised just how bare the ammunition shelves were on the pistol side. From what I could see there were only a few boxes of 40 S&W SXZ left in both JHP & FMJ (Picked up 2 of each for my M&P). The reloading section looked as though it was picked bare!

On the way home we stopped by the brother-in-laws place to pick up he shopping the did for me earlier in the week. Ready to cry boys?

Thats right! I got the last of the 45 Auto stock! Flame me all you want... but it's mine! All Mine! He took the last case and 2 boxes for me!

Who knows, some may end up in the exchange forum at some point...lol

Ya, I realize it's nothing but Winchester white box JHP with the black "Candy" coating, but it was selling for a buck a box cheaper than the last few boxes of Win JHP I purchased up here.

I got a box of it last Friday, I believe. It looks like good stuff. I asked about it on another forum and pretty well everyone who had shot it said that they like it.

The JHP stuff was about $5/box more expensive then the FMJ rounds, but it all works. I believe the FMJ were $22/box, which is actually a pretty good deal consider the only thing that's comparable in Calgary is Combat Masters reloads from Pro-Line (when they have them, which isn't that often.
 
nice stuff as ARmike said our bass pro doesnt even carry pistol ammo....

must be huge demand in the states right now we seem to running out of ammo at an alarming rate up here:mad:

glad i started relaoding....componants seem to be hit less on the shortages....
 
Bass Pro Toronto used to sell handgun ammo soon after they opened, I have not checked since. They also had lots of reloading supplies too but no more. They do however seem to get rifle ammo in OK for now, just bought some 223 FMJ last week.

There has been lots of talk about the Toronto Bass Pro. Many claim it was a deal they struck with York Region that no pistol ammo would be sold there.
 
Thet kept handgun ammo behind the counter I bought some 40 S&W there. They did not have much and it sold out fast. Like the reloading supplies they never seemed to get anymore in.
