Bat Actions / Importing ?

Is there anyone in Canada directly importing Bat Actions?
How difficult is it to import an action, and what is the procedure?
Anyone have one for sale in a short action, I could use as a 7mm WSM?

Check with Rick at Alberta Tacticle. He does import them. Importing actions are the same rules as buying a complete firearm from the USA. It may not be worth the hassle regarding import paper requirements, etc, etc.
 
There are some issues (again) with importing from the US. For several years the DoS has been trying to get all firearms and parts manufacturers registered with DoS, and to register they also need a $1700.00 fee.
Recently the DoS has been refusing to approve any export permits where the US manufaturer is not registered.
I have several BAT actions on the wrong side of the border at this very moment, awaiting BAT to get into compliance, which I understand they are, but it takes time.
Yet another reason we are building our own actions here in house.
