Got a foggy Bausch and Lomb Balvar 2.5x10 rifle scope that is very foggy. I know these were lifetime warranty and that Bausch and Lomb is no more but heard Leopold had taken over the warranties. Anyone got any info on where to send this. These were decent scopes.

That's a scope worth repairing, any of the Balvars are. I had the same model on a hunting rifle for years. Unfortunately they may only replace it.

i don't think leupold would have anything to do with another brand scope plus being from the 90's i doubt anyone will bring fixing them
but you never know

these are so much fun first if you are actually thinking warranty that in itself is optimist
first google less than 15 seconds only 1 place in north america vintage scope in the usa basically a place like trace
send to usa pay everything in usa funds so basic service charge parts on top shipping l likely 350-460 cnd $ ' s by the time u get it back home

Bushnell always handled the warranty for anything Bausch & Lomb.
However, that being said, they started replacing instead of repairing scopes about 15+ yrs ago. Their Canadian repair/warranty center in Vaughn Ont closed up a yr or two ago when the Czech consortium bought out Vista Outdoors group.
A call to Bushnell USA may get you a replacement. but likely NOT a repair job. This is the # I have for them 1-800-423-3537. I had a few scopes replaced 2 yrs ago thru them..not B/L's, but old 3200 and 4200's

Be interesting to know what they say...good luck with it

^^ send it to Bushnell. They sent me a really nice 4500 series for the last B&L I sent them a few years ago.
Btw I still hunt with two Balvars. Both 1-6. Love em.
By coincidence I just mounted a very nice 1.5-6x Balvar onto a very minty 1976 BLR (low use if any and not a scratch). What a nice matchup 🤠and in original style Talley bases and rings, all NOS with crazy low price tags lol. A Pre-81 pre-gold trigger with 2 brand new spare mags!

Don’t know yet if I’m going to sell sell it or shoot it. Also waiting in a drawer is a truly mint Balvar 6-24x40 AO going onto a new Savage A17 Target Sporter Laminate the gloss matches the deep bluing on the A17.

I purchased a B&L scope from a CGNer not too long ago and it had an issue. Bushnell told me I was SOL, maybe I wasn't pushy enough, maybe I got unlucky and talked to someone who didn't know, I was offered a refund by seller and took it, I didn't want to deal with it.
