This year I am getting married and would really like to buy my best man a bayonet as a gift since he is a huge knife geek and plans on getting a Norc m4 as soon as his restricted license comes in. We have always had a deal that he would buy the tactical guns and I would buy the cowboy guns.

So the question is what bayonets will fit the norinco m4 ?

Will they fit both the 14.5" and 10.5" models?

Would they also fit a m14 as he plans to get one of those as well?

The M4 is in the M16 family. The bayonets used on that kind of carbine is an M7 and M9.
Here are a selection of the bayonets used by M16s and M4s. On the board from top to bottom are the M3 fighting knife, four M4s for the M1 carbine, two M5s for the Garand, two M6s for M14, and bottom two are M7s. The center bayonet is an M9, on the bottom is a repro M3 fighting knife

Most of these will fit the M16 and M4. In this picture, there are three M4 bayonets, one M5 and one M6.

Guns for show.... Knives for a pro ;)

Nice collection man. Selling that m9? Lol. I want a British army bayonet for the L85A1 SA80 soooooo bad. Anywhere you know that has them?

Jdawg, congratulations on the big step. Shameless plug here, when you need advice when things get rough, family.org is a great place to go. I've been married for years and always need an objective perspective and finding good advice is not always easy. That site is awesome.

Now as for the gift. You are a good friend man, seeking out a great gift for a buddy is thoughtful. Congratulations all the way around.

I haven't a clue which bayo is best.

Jdawg, I have some duplicates in the M7 bayonets. If you see something in the pictures you like, let me know I may have one. I am thinking of (am) cutting back on the bayonets so I have to start some where.

Do you know where can I buy a Bayonet for my 14.5 AR15? I've seem ZT but at 300$ it's expensive for a Bayonet.

Try your local Surplus shop. That's where I found this one. I wish I had it in the Coyote Brown/Tan colour though. The OD is starting to grow on me and I just picked it up today. The gent behind the counter said that he's had 3 of these in his store.

Expensive yes, but also indestructible. No cheap plastic grip, no poor quality steel. It's heavy but when it's in hand you know you've got some serious equipment on your side.

I don't regret the cost one bit.
