It's some sort of a weird hybrid with the socket is missing a retaining ring, so likely a reproduction without the attention to detail...

The blade looks a bit like an Enfield or Snider-Enfield of the 1853 pattern, but it's too short to be an actual 1853 blade, and too long to be a Junior Enfield as well.

Actually, I wonder if it isn't some sort of a cut down Brown Bess?

It looks completely factory with no provision for a ring and quite a bit smaller than a Bess Bayo.

More a 1754 than a 1728 since the 1728 has a simple ''L'' mortise, while the 1754 has a ''Z'' mortise.
