BC 2015 Top Guide found guilty

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't baiting deer legal in BC?

Yes, it is legal in BC to bait deer to shoot.
A while back I commented on here that baiting an animal to shoot, shouldn't be considered fair chase.
And wow, did I ever get trashed!
Now, the game department is using the "not fair chase," angle, to justify no baiting of bears.

I'm not an opponent to baiting, I was just pointing out the hypocrisy.

i'm sure the $3500 fine will reach the intended lesson, lol
the fines handed down for poaching and illegal hunting are a complete joke! the system wants to send a message, hit person who commits a serious offense with a $25,000-$50,000 fine.
we are seeing to many poaching cases, get off to easily... especially here in the Yukon

They hunt moose gut piles in the Yukon for bears and wolves? A little different than some who've been busted for shooting a glue bag nag and hunting over it.

The list of ridiculousness goes on:
no bait for bears, but yes bait for deer and wolves
hunters have to throw bear gallbladders away to prevent poaching, but there is already a limit of two bears for a season
some hunters claim that crossbow hunting is not hunting
bringing handguns in to mountains is putting danger to the public, while the scoped rifles can do more damage
Being a hunter and voting for NDP
