This is really cool as you can move around the museum, look around and even climb inside some of the aircraft. We are located at the Victoria International Airport, open Thurs - Sun 1100-1500 and are as Covid safe as we can make it (please wear a mask). On the Christmas and New Year's weekend we are open Sat and Sunday

Thank you.I'm hoping other museums will have similar tours in time.

For example I don't know how many times I was asked about Borden Base museum.Lots of people heard of it but very few from abroad made it there.

The Lancaster will be restored to 1950s/60s Maritime Patrol Search and Rescue role so will not have turrets or MGs. They were based at Comox in this role. FM104 did go to Europe but missed the war and was never used operationally. We do have the front turret which we intend to restore as a stand alone exhibit on a frame that will hopefully allow visitors to stand up inside. We do need 2 .303 Brownings if anyone would like to donate.

We do have 2 Brownings in the Bolingbroke turret, and 303 and 50 cal Brownings in our Aircraft Armament display cabinet.

Also on loan we have a 25 pounder to explain the role of our AOP Auster and a 40mm Bofors as they were deployed at RCAF Pat Bay during WW2 (it does help having a President who is also a firearms enthusiast)
