BC Folder OAL Length Question

Simple 2 Part Question.

With the BC Folder:
#1 Is the Min. OAL reach with the 16" Barrel on the 10/22 youth model.
#2 If not, is there an easy way to fix it open temporary, to met the OAL by law? So that i can change it back to a folder when/if a normal barrel is installed.

1. No. Min lenght would be met with a 17" or so (in my measurements).

2. Two shoulder pieces, one pinned (welded), one folding.
Interchange as required.

Add a flash hider to the 16 in. barrel , it doesn't need to be welded to the barrel, just make everything 26 in. long . Or you could weld a piece of chain link to the back of the folders hinge to make the gun 26 in. long by adding to the back not the front. Ok I thought it might be to short for a muzzlebrake/flashhider to make it to the min. length. That was my oringinal thought so thats probably the way i'd go.
