Send or drop off your entry form and a cheque :D

Is there a class for Hunting Rifle ?

Unfortunately there is no hunter class at this event, but you are more than welcome to come enter in the F-Restricted if you want to shoot your .308.

Arrangements could also be made to get a 6BR in your hands for the weekend so you can see how they are to shoot. PM me if this is of intrest.

A question that came up the other day:

Gunsmoke said:
Hi Richard;

What target will we be shooting at? size of v-bull and bull? and will there be an aiming mark - I believe last year when we shot the Farky we had a 5/8 " green dot.

thanks in advance,

Brian

The answer is,

Previous shoots were held on UIT targets with a .75 MOA 50mm/1.968" X Ring and a X-10-9-8-7-6-5-etc scoring system.

This year we will be shooting on the new ICFRA .4 MOA (35mm/1.378") V-Bull with V-5-4-3-2-1 scoring since we no longer have ISSF/UIT targets even though it is an ISSF match.

KTSA is fully changing over to the ICFRA target system so we are on par with the BCRA and other PRA's.

As for an "Aiming Mark" (other than what is on the target itself) this is still undetermined but I will post when a decision has been made.

Here is an example of the new "PROPOSED" ICFRA 300M Target that I shot earlier this year at our Winter League:

10 Shots in the V-Bull.... Shot in 5 ring was 1st sighter....and YES I have witnesses :D

One Canadian quarter placed over the center of the V-bull for comparison.

What he isn't telling you is that he was shooting from 50 meters away. :)

Good on KTSA for switching to the ICFRA targets and scoring. The formal dimensions will be decided following the FCWC in July, but as the actual birth place of F-Class, it is only fitting that they shoot on proper F-Class targets instead of ISSF targets.

don't know if im going to the winners circle so do i need to be a BCRA member still???

thanks Sean

You do not need to have a BCRA membership since you are a KTSA member and you are covered under the KTSA insurance policy while shooting on the property.

Now, before someone asks, I am unsure whether other club policies are carried over while shooting at another range.

I might be interested, plus a couple of my friends....

I may enter TR or Farkey

One friend is Benchrest for sure.... another probably TR... I will give them a call tonight to see if we can make it.

Thanks to Mark Anderson for putting the new target boards together.

We will be trying them out for the first time this Wednesday.

Here is a picture of what you will be shooting at.
