well the way I see it is I have spent 24 years hunting moose and a dozen years of guiding here I think my feeling wont get to hurt to miss a couple years, its also nice to hear sucsess in other areas were shutting down bulls worked, I know I have a good buddy in Sask and he says he sees some downright big bulls nowadays, and thats a good sign

Actually the moose population did not look bad at all in the area where we were hunting. We witnessed lots of bulls being taken in the first 3 days of the season. I personally saw 13 bulls (excluding ours) on the poles. Local cooler was full on the third day of hunting as well. And the another group of my friends (two of them) who were hunting the same area took their two bulls in three days! So, it was not just our luck, but decent number of animals as well.
