BC Pistol Transfer in under 45 minutes

Well I got lucky I guess. I used 1800 731-4000 and like others have posted I pressed 1 (english), 6 for non-restricted, 1 to speak to a operator. I was able to speak to 3 different operators in under 45 minutes. 3rd one was the charm as the first two were not "transfer trained", 3rd operator completed the transfer. Now I have no idea how long it will take for the Buyer to get through, but my part is done !!! Thanks to those who posted the 1,6,1 idea, worked like a charm.
 
Should've asked the buyer if they are able to conference in, I did that for my three transfers going through 1 6 1 and got them done right then and there. Obviously still waiting to get approved though.
 
Use the Burner mobile phone app to set your area code to 709 for newfoundland. get your butt out of bed to make the call at 0430 PST (0900 in newfoundland) and I got through on the first try this morning using 1-4-2 to complete my purchase as a buyer. Only waited on hold for 18 mins.
You can also try calling after 4 pm PST as that's the cutoff time for any other offices east of BC, so it's only BC callers in the queue for that final hour of the day. I called 18 times yesterday, got through to the hold playback first try at 4 pm yesterday, got "system error" at 4:32, called back and got right back into the hold queue until it cut me off when it closed at 5 pm. No guarantees, but at least it wasn't instant disconnection. Early bird usually gets the worm. The app works, you get a free trial for a week. Just have to remember to cancel LOL.
 
What info do you need to initiate a transfer? I’d hate to get through to an agent and not have all the info ready.
 
Your info.......RPAL
The firearm(s) info.....registration number(s), etc
Buyer (transferee) info.....RPAL number, name, phone number, etc

You can do up to 20 firearms on one transfer.

More than 20 they start a new transfer.
 
I spent hours on the phone yesterday calling the CFO over and over again

Got thru three times was on hold for over 20 minutes I was then cut off - second time same thing - third time I got thru was after 4pm BC time was on hold for 38 minutes then bang got a notice repeating "our system is down" next thing I knew I was cut off again.

Read my reply above about the burner app. First try this morning got it done.
 
Thanks to the tip about punching 1 (I believe it is) for non-restricted. After going through several dropped calls even when already speaking to a trained transfer agent, twice to the same gentleman, and 3 agents who weren't trained for restricted, finally reached a lady agent who was so kind as to agree to do 3 transfers as well as do conference calls with the buyers.

Three transfers initiated and completed. Saved the buyers the frustration of having to complete on their own.
