Posted this on the other thread and figured I would copy it here - hopefully the match director can shed some light on it:

Happy to see this back this year. Took a quick read over the CoF and have a few questions/concerns. Was it by design to have the shooter/spotter portions hugely limited? Stage 2 and 3 (600m) are with a spotter but 4, 5 and 6 (500m/400m) are not. I am not saying it can't be done - I am just saying that it is going to make things a lot more challenging for a lot of people. Last year we had some incredibly heavy mirage that made target recognition with a spotter incredibly difficult - if we are not going to be shooting with a spotter at 500m then we are in a worse position. I am all for challenging stages, and new stages from previous years - but the balance of having a good time vs being unable to make hits because you don't have a spotter to help you direct your shots seems lacking here. I am going to be coming for sure - I just wanted to call this out as a concern, well before the match.

Sounds fun, hopefully I can make the time to attend. Any news on the BCRA matches/practices on Van Isle?
