Hey guys,
Can someone help me here? I am a BC Resident who has never hunted before. I am planning a trip to Ontario in September 2014 and I want to do some waterfowl hunting. The regs are many, and I have lots of learning to do. The MNR in Ontario wants me to have:
1. an Ontario outdoors card
2. A hunting licence issued by a designated authority in any jurisdiction as a resident of that jurisdiction.
3. An Ontario Hunter Examination Certificate.
4. An Ontario Hunting Licence Verification Certificate showing that you were issued an Ontario licence to hunt, or passed the Hunting Licence Examination.
5. A certificate by a designated authority in any jurisdiction, giving you permission to purchase a hunting licence in that jurisdiction.
Outdoors card, check...quick visit to Canadian tire. A hunting licence...I plan on getting in B.C. soon (CORE course, hunter number etc)
As for 3, 4 and 5... How do I get these if I am a non-resident of Ontario? Wouldn't the B.C. CORE course not suffice as a hunter exam cert? Or are the courses different from province to province? And what's with these certificates to prove you can purchase a license? Sounds a bit redundant if I already have the licence.
Anyway, as I said, I have lots more learning to do about this. But I was hoping a straight-shooter could lend their 2 cents as to what steps I need to take to do this?
Thanks in advance.
