I've been looking for way to mount a optic to my CZ 858, and seeing as how I want to replace the hand guard anyway I though this would be a good option for me. Would it provide a solid mount for a optic? And will it interfere with the factory iron sight? It may be a while before I can buy the sight I want so I will still need to be able to use the factory sights. And anything else you can tell me about it is welcomed

Yup, it's pretty good. It won't interfere with the iron sights, but once you do get an optic you pretty much can't cowitness. It fits VERY tightly on my gun, so much so that I had to file spots down and I need to use a punch just to get the upper handguard off.

It also looks pretty damn ###y if you ask me...

That looks pretty dam awsome! Do you have any more pics showing the whole rifle?
I noticed you have a Vortex SPARC on there, I have one on my .22 and was contemplating using it on the CZ. At least till I get a Aimpont.
Just one more question about the hand guard. Do you think it will ever ware down from taking it on and off lots, or eventually ware down enough to make the top handgurad loose?

Go for it. It's the perfect size and doesn't look out of place on it.

I think (and hope) it will. I've only field stripped the rifle about 3 times since I put the rail on though and it's still pretty tight.
