The bcl 102 gen 2 has which buffer tube?
A1A2 fixed buffer tube or ar10/308 ar carbine? or something else

The bcl 102 gen 2 has which buffer weight?
308 ar rifle buffer? 308 ar carbine buffer? or something else

the bcl 102 gen 2 has which buffer spring?
rifle? carbine? or something else

would a dpms ar308 a2 fixed stock rifle assembly complete with rifle spring and rifle buffer work?

bcl 102 gen 2 uses which type of lower parts kit? specifically bolt catch bolt open?

I think the bcl102 faq sticky needs an update. Everyone has questions. Very difficult to find answers. It would be so much easier if bcl posted specifications so we didn’t have to do this trial and error.

Myself would like to see a classic build, it would be fun, not knowing if it would work yet.
Something in the lines of, A2 fixed buttstock, A2 triangular front site-gas block...maybe even detach AR10 carry handle could be nice, if top rail lenght matches

Maybe guys have tried, not going to read all the threads to find out, but why don't people just call BCL and put some pressure on for answers since there's been so many problems ?

The buffer tube accepts AR15 carbine stocks, but it is about an inch longer than an AR15 carbine buffer tube so it isn't fully collapsed in the shortest position. However it is still about an inch shorter than an AR15 A1 style tube.
I think the spring is somewhere between carbine and A1 length as well.

The BCL 102 uses an A5 length buffer tube. (Longer than the AR15 Carbine tube)

The means you can use a standard H3 type AR15 buffer.

Now if you replace the buffer tube with a Carbine buffer tube (same as the AR15), you need to use the DPMS shorter ar308 buffer.

In the end these both allow for the longer length of travel needed for an AR in 308.

If you want to use a Rifle buffer tube (same as the ar15) then you need the AR10 specific rifle buffer.
