So I have over 100rds out of my Gen11 BCL and am pretty happy so far.
Geisslle, SLR and magpul additions so far.
I have issues inserting inserting empty CPD pistol mags on a closed bolt. As in a mighty wack is needed.
There was no problem with the supplied IMI mag though.
I used some plastcine on each bolt and it was squashed more on the CPD mag.
I just recieved a new JP bolt and spring, and did some measuring. Approximately .220 from bottom of bolt carrier to mag lip groove.
BCL102 measurement is approximately .160 and is machined flat not tapered.
No more mag problem, it will seat with a full mag and closed bolt now.
Charging handle latches easier.(?)
Firing pin to hole clearance is less. (Maybe no cratering)
Passes bolt gas ring test, even though JP doesn't guarantee that.(One piece, less drag)
Headspaced good.
No more spring noise. (Silent Captured Spring)
Don't need buffer retainer with SCS.
Gas tube insertion into bolt gas key is the same as BCL bolt, about .3. (Checking this one)
I'm curious what the above measurement is in the Brownell's bolt thats still on sale.
