BCL Bison build

Can-down.....the email I received from CS did not go into details. When I inspected the extractor (before sending it off) I did not notice anything unusual eg. chips, damage, etc.

I'll see if there's a detailed report of their findings and will share it here (if there is one).

Sounds good, hopefully they iron things out quickly for both their customers and themselves!

Update:
UPS dropped off my Bison before noon (today) while I prepping lunch.

The packaging was outstanding. The exterior of the box was bubble wrapped and with several layers of shrink wrap. More bubble wrap inside.
I did not find a Service Report and the extractor appeared to be no different from the OEM. However, it extracted my snap-caps no problem which the original did not.

The rifle was nicely cleaned and a BCL mug and fridge magnet were included. What a nice unexpected touch!

AFAIC....my experience with BCL Customer Service and Warranty claim was outstanding. From excellent communications with Carrie (CS), quick resolution and shipping...I have been very impressed and will have no hesitation dealing with them in the future.

Can't ask for better then that, it's a bonus for you that they are not far away for shipping. Hopefully BCL learned something and a simple extractor swap will help the other people with ejection issues.

What’s going on with the mag in this picture? I there some sort of spacer in there? The mag looks too small for the mag well. I haven’t noticed that on other ones.

For those who are wondering the same, here are some some pics......

Yea it needs room for the action screw. It's pretty slick. If I can't get what I want for mine I have no qualms with keeping it. It's a fantastic little rifle.

The interesting thing is that even with the supershort action it's exactly the same length (if you don't count the brake) as the rem 700 SB shorty.

Driller....nice pair!

johNTO, did they say what was "wrong" with the original extractor?
Best thing BCL could do is be transparent and let people know what problems have come up and what the solutions are.

Can-down....I received a followup email today regarding their findings.

"The extractor was thoroughly examined, and it was determined that the parallelism of the hook was right at the top end of the tolerance and the tolerance was already extraordinarily tight.
When tested, the extractor passed the test fire and inspection but once a number of rounds were through this issue presented itself. Luckily, it was early in the distribution and thankfully only affected a handful of Bisons. Simply replacing the extractor should remedy the issue moving forward.

Again, thank you for bringing this to our attention and giving us the opportunity to remedy the issue, because it is instances like this that we are able to better ourselves as a company and evolve our products.
Please let me know if there is anything else you have questions on, otherwise I will close your case file. It was an absolute pleasure working with you through this."

My Bison was one of the first 200 off the assembly line based on the serial number.

I just came back from the range and shot 50rnds without a single FTE.....

Nice!
They are probably on it , but sending wolverine a new extractor so they can test it and post a follow up review to their first shooting video where the bison was having the same issue would be smart.
