Looking at a Mrx Bison Ranger in 7.62x39. Pros/cons? BCLs website is pretty much the ####s when looking for accessories.

I've got the short barreled one and it has been good so far
shoots almost as good as my cz527 does with handloads

What did you put on it for a scope? Any upgrades?

I have the MRX Ranger in 5.56 that I really enjoy. Nice action, great accuracy, only negative is chassis has a couple points around the mag well that can cause discomfort. Had a 2.5-10 scope on it but now run a 1-6. The 20rnd mags are great, but I don't think you can get them for 7.62x39? Like it so much I ordered a LRX Bronco.

I have a Vortex Diamondback Tactical 3-9x40 on mine. I love it. Al Flaherty sells them for $250 with free shipping.

Ordered the Bison. Al's is out but Cabelas to the rescue. Couple bucks more. Just need to decide on rings or a 1 piece.

Go for rings. Measure the height you need. I find that 1 piece mounts have to be chosen very carefully, otherwise you run into eye relief/mounting issues.
