Hey,

I know there's like 10 threads and all of them have a little bit of information spread through 10-60 pages so I'm wondering if someone can give me a list of the ammunition that has performed WELL.

I remember someone saying GMM 168 but that's all I have seen for good performance commercial ammunition

168gr GMM has been the best in terms of accuracy for me - no issues

AE 150gr FMJBT has been surprisingly accurate giving almost MOA groups and I shot one sub moa group - no issues

Hornady American gunner 155gr BTHP has performed almost as well as the AE stuff - no issues

PPU / Privy Partisan sucked in terms of performance with 3 inch groups at best with one F2F - was the first round ever fired from my rifle using the supplied IMI mag and I may have short stroked the charging handle causing the failure to feed. This was the only malfunction I have had in my 102 out of about 200 rounds.

Most 180 gr hunting ammo I tried has sucked in terms of accuracy but functioned fine. Winchester super x was the absolute worst ammo I have tried to date.

Right now I am loading up a bunch of 155 AMAX and 168 AMAX using RL 15 which I hope will hold 1 moa or better.

Its a journey.

I saw that, just looking for a short list of accurate ammunition that seems to be just which ones operate well.

Thanks I'm going to try all of those out!

Norma Match 168 grain
Barnes TSX 150 grain

Both have shot very well in my BCL102. I've posted no bs pics of my range trips. As they say: "I'm LOVING it!!!"

Cheers
Jay

The range I plan to join has a no steel ammo policy, I have a feeling shooting the 102 is going to be expensive, all the cheap stuff seems to contain some. I'll keep an eye on this thread for the various options.

Looking at picking up a case of surplus, Hirtenberger...it appears on the list of usable ammo, anyone here have first hand experience running it through their 102? I'm not looking for long range MOA, I know I'm not getting that. Using it more for practice and drills, the expensive stuff will be used for the more precision shooting. Just want something that's going to run reliably.

Hirtenberger runs just fine in my 102, typical ball ammo accuracy... I'd use it for plinking for sure!

Cheers
Jay

Ordered a few boxes of 168 gmm, and ae 150 fmjbt. Gonna pick up some Barnes tsx 150 when I'm home and idk where to buy Norma match!

If people keep posting I'll update the first post with the stuff you guys suggested. Still don't have my rifle yet though :(

Surprisingly poor results with federal premium gold metal match 175 grain siera matchkimg BTHP.

Groups around 3".

168gr GMM is MOA consistently and occasionally sub MOA.

Seems my 102 does not like anything over 168gr and it seems to prefer 155 gr which I find surprising for a 1/10 barrel.

Anyone else finding the same results?

There may be some variations in some rifles as mine loves the heavy stuff 168 GMM and 178 precision hunter. So far does not like most 150.

Fired off the last of my privy partisan 145gr FMJ to use the brass for reloading as it groups like crap in my 102.

Noticed a lot of pressure signs, flattened primers and chewed brass with hard extraction.

Anyone else finding the same thing?

I will be avoiding this stuff.
