The meeting was well-attended and there were very strong showings from F-Class and Tactical shooters. While there were few epyphanies, discussion surrounded a number of interesting issues...
ICFRA:
BCRA has now adopted the ICFRA rules and targets; the biggest news is for TR shooters where rifle weights have been eliminated and trigger pull weights have been dropped.
While the matter is still up for debate, it appears as though BCRA will adopt the F-Restricted (any 308 or 223 bullet rather than the 156-81 gr. restriction) and F-Open classes only. A motion to keep bullet weights in line with the past Farky rules was defeated.
The PRA's have the option of a contrasting aiming mark; it was conveyed that retention of a contrasting center is preferred.
Vokes Range
2009 will see a significant increase in demand for the range as security personnel for 2010 will be using the range, this is expected to impact our access to the range for some events.
Elections
Status Quo in the executive with all current members retaining their seats. Ian Hames (me) has taken on the position of BCRA F-Class Director and Richard Dreger (CyaN1de) has been elected as an interior regional rep
Police and Fire Games
These will be hosted by the BCRA immediately following the BC F/TR Provincial Championship (BC FTRC are 31 July to 3 Aug 2009) from 04-08 August and volunteers are needed for all positions.
