BCRA Service Rifle dust off Volkes Range Chilliwack May 17 2014

Pretty much, that's the way it's going. I was told they got together, and decided for 'public safety reasons' to remove gunsmith across the country. I asked if they were having problems with law abiding gun owners committing crimes on the way to the gunsmith? He said he didn't know. It was about consitency.
So we can look forward to more 'reasonable' conditions Canada wide.
Not vindictive at all.

So you're going to the gunsmith to fix a rifle so it is safe but limiting your access to the gunsmith makes you safer.... Yup.. That's some great logic there!

Just had one of my shooting buddys get his revised LTATT with the military range endorsement and he still has to gunsmiths on it as well. He just got the email as of this morning from the CFO.
 
Tenguns as long as you have an idea of where you are shooting we have changed things a little so that there are now 5 sighters before each delib instead of the usual 2. Kills the need for a walkback day that could be used for shooting. My 500 delib was the first with a new scope so I had no idea what the dope was. First shot was not even on the 4ft frame so I shot the second into the backstop to see where it was going. The fifth sighter was a V. You can see where the rest went lol.

Hmmm. Mine was renewed ~1month ago and they pulled the gunsmiths from it.

Good stuff buddy! I was doing awesome and getting consistent 2" groups out to 400m then the weather got cranky and my 500 pooped the bed. I'll blame it on the wind, and hope it's better out there! Weather looks awesome for this year hey!
 
Transfer was just approved on my first civvie AR. A 20" Stag should be arriving here shortly, then I can come play with you guys sans uniform soon! Woo! Will still need an optic at some point, but I'll give the ol' iron sites a whirl until then.

I have some spare optics, we will figure something out.
