This should answer a bunch of questions.
We plan on/ usually practice positional shooting and matches from 100-500yds on a decent military range with target butts (it is the second nices rifle range on the island). So deliberates, Snaps, Rapids and Run Downs. If you don't know what those are there is no better way to learn than hands on. We can get your paper work/fees taken care of on the range. No zero no problem, I know a few short cuts that can save your a$$ when things go bad.
If you are worried about looking like a fool, don't. I am pretty good at getting people up to speed with a minimum amount of BS.
So you will need to bring.
FAC, rifle paper cert, ATT ect.
A Rifle with 2 mags and 200 rnds of ammo. (a lee enfield and an AR15 will work fine as will an SKS) run what ya got. Then buy gear as you see what really works. (lots of guys will swap rifles to test drive new gear)
2+liters of water
Lunch and snacks (you will be on the range all day)
Clothing suitable for spending you whole day in an open field (including a hat)
Sun screen
Ear and eye pro.
Binos or spotting scope (trust me)
A note book and a couple pens
A back pack to stuff everything in.
The introductory membership fee is $30 for the year. The range requires sentries so there is usually a $5-10 fee for the practice to cover their wage (the more shooters the lower it is).
