It's that time again so here is the course of fire. There may be a few tweaks here and there but I am posting it for the anxious who keep emailing me. The completed course of fire will be available for download at www.bctacticalrifle.com shortly. The 2009 membership forms and also the entry form are currently available there.

I would strongly encourage those that regularly attend this match or are planning to this year to get paid up in advance as I am trying to get away from paying the day of the match as it causes a lot of unnecessary headache for me. If you have prepaid and for some reason you are unable to attend and need to cancel your entry you will get a full refund up until two weeks before the match. If you need to cancel after the two week deadline I will deduct the cost of the target marker if I don't have a shooter to fill your spot, if your spot is filled you will receive a full refund.

The night shoot segment is in limbo as it sits right now. It was fine when the firing points had illum prior to shooting but it was extremely difficult in the dark. I wasn't comfortable enough to be able to guarantee I was able to keep on top of 100% of the shooters 100% of the time in the dark. We need an overwatch with NVG to ensure the safety and control of the event. Until I have someone who can do that I will be shelving the shooting in the dark.

On the Saturday night we will be holding the 3-Gun match and also the golfball match as people seemed to enjoy that one the most. It will be a combined fee event, the 3-Gun and the Golfball match for $15. The prize for winning the golfball match will be ($5 x number of entrants) so if 40 people enter someone is walking away with $200.
 
and my BBQ is untouched. yay!

looking foward to this. my practice sessions so far have been, um, ####ty. Ed's dots are killing me.

But the 3 gun says 40 rds per shooter, I see 15 rifle & 10 pistol per shooter :nest:, Am I missing something!:confused:......Besides my brain:D.....:runaway:

Can transplanted East coasties with no spotters come and hope to pair up with someone...a spotter I mean? :p

I'll be in Comox and can't commit due to the reqs of the CF flying crse I will be on.

...although there seems to be an awful lot of running. :D

Come on out. There are always a few stragglers that pair themselves up at the last minute. That's not an awful lot of running.........;)
 
So......Who is up for the Jolly Miller after the three gun and golfball match wraps up on the Saturday? The last two years have been a gong show for me as far as getting any time to socialize and have a few drinks with the guys. A few events of late have made it clear to me that I need to devote more time to the important things in life such as this.

Last year Larry Hill and I were going to have a beer together but as normal with this weekend I never got time and we said "maybe next year". On the weekend of March 7th 2009 a competitor of this match, user ldhill on CGN and a friend of mine Larry Hill died of a heart attack.

On the Saturday evening I would like to make a toast to Larry and anybody who is interested feel free to stop in at the Miller for a few as that is how he would have wanted it.:cheers:

Mike I am sorry to hear about Larry he will be missed :(

I am with you for that as we get older it truely is the important things that matter Family ,Friends and work .
I look forward to raising a glass to our friend Larry with you
 
Oh.....it's that time again.....I just don't think we will be coming over from Maui this year !!! I wanted another shirt...(and yes mostly wanted to do better than last year)...mine from last year just disappeared ( !!!!) a few weeks ago. I asked the wife....but she knows nothing about it....I don't think she liked the looks I got walking around around out little hippie/surf town !
