Bear Bait Question

Alright up until last friday i have had 10-20 pictures a night on my trail camera as well 4 different bears in the pics. Last friday i nailed a beaver on the tree and refilled all my bait. That evening i took a boar (little ground shrinkage) with my bow. My friend will now go for his the only issue is since i took my bear last friday the bait has not been hit and i know their were four bears on it before according to the pics. Previous to last friday it was hit everynight.

Any ideas to why nothings coming??
 
That seems a bit odd since we would use the same baitstand more than once when I was guiding. Did your bear die quickly? If it had time to bawl the others may have heard that and decided its not the best place to hang out anymore.
 
It made a couple bawls after it fell out of the tree it ran up. We will give it a little more time i guess. I still have the beaver hanging in the tree rotting seems odd to me.
 
Not sure what to tell you. Put the scent higher off the ground (better spread) and try a new 'flavour' to spark some interest. Go to the local greasy spoon and get their fryer scrapings, mix in a bottle of anise extract and smear that mess on the bark of a tree as high as you can get.
We only baited in the fall and right now the bears are more into fresh veggies than skanky meat so who knows what will turn their crank!
