Bear hunt in morning?

I posted this a while back on the NB Hunting forum and got differing responses. I'm interested to see what guys have to say on here . ..

Here in NB, almost everyone baits bears - there's little spot and stalk hunting.

Out of that baiting, from what I can tell, most are shot just before dark.

So I'd like to know - what about the rest of the day? Does anyone shoot them in morning/afternoons over bait?

Last year I shot mine at 9:30 am and my buddy shot his at 4 in the afternoon same day....His bait was set up with a trail cam and showed the same bear was there feeding on the bait at noon for a good 1/2 hr left and came back for his last meal at 4pm... so hunting during the day and morning definately can be productive...

shot mine at 8:30am. Had that bear mostly coming at night to feed but he must not of been very far away, I dumped a garbage bag of popcorn and 4litres of molasses onto the already stocked bait site, and 30 minutes later out he came for his last meal!
