so im goin to go hunting for my first bear in a cupple of days in northwester bc near the telkwa pass ill be quading it in and out and i am unsure on the best way of field dressing my bear i know how but i just want to know what everyones method is

By field dressing I assume you mean gutting, not skinning.
Do it just like deer. You can make a cut further up through the neck and end about 3 " from the end of the lower jaw. Then split the brisket and it's easy to gut as you can spread the rib cage to get at heart/lungs/trachea.

I skin all bears using method of top diagram, regardless of mount.

If you are going to save the hide for a rug, like in the top pic, make your front leg cuts under the arm pit just below were the fur is thin. If you cut through the thin arm pit fur you will be abel to see the stitches from the taxidermist on the rug.
