Anyone ever bed one of these.I have a friend that wants me to do his.It shoots really good and I really don't know if he will gain anything by doing it.Just throwing it out there if anyone has done one and if it helped with accuracy. He plans on PRS shooting with it so maybe being bedded will help it with the 10 shot shooting strings.
Thanks
Bubba

What Stock is your buddy using? If it’s the factory poly one I wouldn’t do it. If it’s an aftermarket such as a manners or mcmillan I would do it. Ive bedded lots of tikkas with good results in aftermarket stocks. The factory poly stock is worth doing, the bedded compound can be hit or miss on sticking to the factory stock.

There is a stickied thread about bedding, lots of good tips and advice. If you are in doubt, do a cheap 22 first, or get a smith to do it.

If you are going to bed the tikka synthetic stock you need to drill many small holes 1/4” deep so the bedding can adhere to it. I think about the only thing that will stick is Devcon 10110. You also need to rough up the surface with a carbide burr on a dRemil tool.

Yep and get the kit from Coretac that includes 2 bolts , 2 pillars and an oversized titanium recoil lug . May as well get the stainless bolt shroud as well .
