Has anyone here bedded the new system. The area around the rear action screw looks like it could be tricky. But most importantly if anyone has done it do you have pics?

Yes it is tricky, but with the use of plastercine dams,it can be done. The idea is to get as much bedding area as possible without interfering with the wing. A lot just give up and float the tang. Sorry,no pictures.I don't have a camera, nor if I did,the ablity to post.:)

Sorry, last center feed Savage has left the roost. No pics

I bedded it exactly like any other savage. Put release compound on anything metal. The epoxy will ooze and may touch the sear or the bottom metal but will 'break' off when the action is removed.

I do bed the rear tang just under the red circle indicator. Just a small patch to add some support. Some don't like to do this and their rifles shoot just fine.

The big one is around each action screw and fully bedding that recoil lug.

PM me if you would like me to do the bedding.
