more a time killer post sorry. Ill take pictures when its done.

Im sitting here waiting for the compound *jb weld* to harden enough.

I started at 9pm.... " I know what I was doing, but what was I thinking!? " lol. So here I am... waiting till midnight to take the rail off. I could leave it till morning but I would have bad dreams lol.

Its just the back of my rail thats bedded, 20moa weaver. There was a bit of a gap.

Anyone elce commonly bed there rails?

Here is the top of the action in the rear. As you can see by the surface area contact was not perfect. When you tighten down the front there was a gap big enough to slide a piece of paper no problem.

Here is the final product.
The rail now fits the action perfect. You can see the front is not bedded and this is because the rail has a built in recoil lug that buts up agents the front. as well the front is perfect from the factory.

Second picture might not be the one you intended.

I've never bedded a scope rail, but I do see that the Farrel bases recommend it.

should be a pic of the rail off the gun upside down. on a blue book.

is that what you see ?

Yes, that is what is shown. I thought I would see bedding somewhere, but I can't spot it. Maybe I don't know what I'm looking for. Is the bedding the rectangular patch at the top?

I have Ken Farrel bases on my rifles. They are bedded as per the instructions. It just feels better that its done...the whole no stress on the bases/ action thing...
