bedding P14 action?

any pointers for bedding Pattern 14 action? the king screw in the recoil lug is giving me nightmares but i think i have it figured out; a threaded rod/headless screw longer then the stock’s thickness, soaked in release agent
i though about a tube/bolt through the hole in the stock that would be pushed out as the action is pushed in but it may still allow the bering compound to get in there

I use a qtip, put in hole assemble. Remove qtip with bedding replace with stock screw liberally slathered in release agent or shoe polish.
Never had one stick yet.
Had the odd one requiring the trigger guard bedded also.

thanks lb, ill try that, maybe easier then. finding a right gage screw to replace the original

If you only want to plug the hole, light a candle and fill the hole with melted wax. Works for my Lee Enfield
