Hey Guys,
Just dropped off two Savage Rimfire rifles to my awesome wood-smith, bench-shooter, accurizing-wizzard.....for bedding jobs to wring-out some better groups.
How do you deal with the 'recoil-lug or button' attached to the bottom of the barrel about 2-3" from the receiver?
Can it be removed so you can full-float the barrel all the way to the receiver? - or do you bed them just to that point?
...just curious - not sure what the best aproach is - any suggestions would be appreciated - thank you.
BTW, the rifles in question are a Mark II BV in 22lr and a Model 93G in 22 WMR.
Thanks again for sharing your experience - SD
