DEGREASE extremely well. I use Spray aerosol brake cleaner generously. Rough up - gouge and drill the inletting area so the epoxy has something to grab onto.
Bed like any other rifle.
Proper bedding NEVER hurts and almost always helps.
Factory stocks these days have 'drop in' inletting - read as big honking sloppy hole a hunk of metal falls into.

PROPER - is the main word here - +1 on that
bad bedding can make things even worth, such as - increase stress, bend the action, interfere with barrel....so, read and check INTERNET on this matter...
