Before....and After German K98 Restoration.

Whoa, hold up, that's the same rifle?! Holy Fack! I literally lost my breath for a moment while I forced my eyes back in my head and scooped my jaw off the floor! Amazing job, that mauser looks absolutely gorgeous. Sehr gut!
 
I used LINSEED OIL and a tone of elbow grease. 000 Steel wool, and the red just came out of the grain. Took more then a week of rubbing in the oil until she could not take any more, then letting it dry for another week after that. Then polished. Can't rush a good job. I might have a couple more pics out on the range with it. She's a boomer, and gets lots of attention on the range. Mint bore. All metal and milled parts just lke the original 98's, but with the advantage of the laminated stock/cupped butt plate. Took me a little while to sourse the correct parts for it. Well worth the effort. It's one of my favurite rifles to shoot. Best part, it's in 30/06
