Have had my 10/22 takedown magpull back packer for a couple years. I really enjoy this rifle and I been wanting to get another semi 22 to try a semi for ORPS next year for a match or two. Also wanted something else for my daughter to shoot when she tires of the rascals single shot. So yesterday I picked up a LVT. I slapped on the BX trigger and extended mag release and auto bolt release mod (robbed from my take down). Put my Vortex Diamondback Tactical 4-16x44 in weaver skeleton rings. Cheek riser is a Tourbon unit that’s almost too high but should be good I think when the spectra ballistics 20MOA receiver I ordered arrives.

Got the first 165 rounds through it today. Shot The first 15 at 25yards to get the scope on, and it was looking very promising shooting Federal AutoMatch

The rest was shot at 110yards. Shot multiple 5 shot groups with each type of Highvelocity ammo I brought today (Federal AutoMatch, CCI Blazer, and Aguila Super Extra HV copper washed round nose). Groupings were about where I expected from 1.5” at best too 3” at worst. Rifle did best with the Blazer with most of the groups around the 1.5” mark. The federal and aguila tied with mixed result groups some good some bad weather was far from optimal for groupings so overall very happy will look forward to getting our in some better weather and try it with much better standard velocity ammo. Looks like a nice rifle, and groups that anyone would be happy with at 110 yards on a less than optimum day. I used to build 10/22's and put a lot of money into them. Now I just leave them as modified sporters for plinking. Not that there is anything wrong with the platform I just have more fun shooting offhand with them. I have turned my attention to bench shooting with a CZ varmint in pro varmint stock trying to play the 1/2" game. After several months of finding nice days I seem to be getting into the .6-.800 thou range but just not getting there. No doubt it is me as I really only shoot with it on nice days which we have had very few which I have been available to get to the range. Have fun with yours.
