belgian pistol FN Nomad 22lr

The FN 150 and the FN Medalist family were the basis for the Browning Buck Mark. The FN150 was a target pistol and as a result all of them have great triggers and are well made. I personally would look for a clean Buck Mark that will have an american style mag release and more vertical grip angle for about the same price or less.

Nomads, and Medalists are solid steel and far more durable than Buck Marks. In my opinion any of the older 50's to 80's target pistols are great value and in my opinion better (more accurate, reliable, durable) than most of todays common guns (Buck Mark, Neos, GSG 1911, etc)

Ive owned an FN150 I could see no practical difference in reliability, durability or accuracy compared to a good Buck Mark. Yes they look nice and are made from nice blued steel with wood grips but the Buck Mark is 7075 aluminium which is one of the strongest aluminium alloys around. The FN150 was more difficult to handle and shoot with modern two hand hold because of the sharp angle grip that was made for one handed shooting and was slow and cumbersome with mag changes. The FN150 and Medalist family are nice guns, but somewhat outdated design compared to the modernized Buck Mark which is superior as an every day shooter IMHO.
