I recieved my Belgian Police P7M13 from Armtac the other day. It looks good. I'm happy with it for the $999 price tag, which is less than half
eek
what I paid for the NIB P7M13 I bought. Thanks Chris from Armtac for finding these. Please find some more cool stuff. For the guys that missed out on this deal... you have to act fast. I learned that the shipment was only 15 pistols.
I had this out at the range yesterday. P7M13 on the right. (P7M8 on the left). The date code of the P7M13 is "IG" (86). One of the first things I noticed is that, of course there is no U.S. importer`s name engraved on the slide, but the HK logo is also not engraved there either.
With a GLOCK 19:
A bit of an indulgence here
, but in the off chance someone might wonder (yah right!) "What does ghostie have with him on an average day at the range?" Left to right: Steyr SSG69 with Kahles ZFM; two SSG mags; Swiss Arms carbine with Aimpoint T1 Micro; two Swiss arms mags; HK P7M8; two GLOCK mags; two P7M8 mags; OD GLOCk 19; Belgian Police P7M13; P7M13 mag: (The P7M8 I didn't shoot that day. It was there as "back-up" in case anything went wrong with the P7M13, which it did not. I shot about 150 rounds w/o issue)
After the first time shooting it, I did pretty much a detail strip. I never take the squeeze cockers apart unless something were to get broken. I personally feel it is unnecessary and a really bad idea to disassemble P7s beyond this: (not counting the mag, I did take apart the mag and completely clean it out... and it was filthy)
Some shots of the internals. While the gun shows some holster wear on the top of the slide, the extractor and the rear sight, it shows suprisingly little wear everywhere else:
Comparison shots with my commerical P7M13, AC (2002). The Belgian gun is always on the right:
One of the differences between the 1986 gun and the 2002 gun is, well... the finish is different, but also the little disassembly button (left side near the back) sticksout more on the 86, and the frame in this area is a bit different. Perhaps HK redesigned this for the CCW market (especially for right handed shooters):
Left to right: HK P7M8 (1989); P7M13 (1986); P7M13 (2002)
Question: Does a P7M13 fit in a P7M8 holster? Yes I think they will in almost all cases. I am planning to get some other P7 holsters so I will let you know. The slide is the same as between the P7M8 and P7M13. Just the grip is different. PSP has the same slide but smaller trigger guard, so they will fit in P7M8 holsters but probably not the reverse.
