Hello all, I am a new entry on Gunnutz and I am looing for some interest and feed back on a 1964 Belgium Browning S 22 Semi Grade 1 . This gun is in absolute mint condition and to reaffirm it is Mint. And in Brand new condition. I have the original Browning packaging Box. The manual on the first page shows the sale date of the day, month and year of 1964. Then the manual description pages start . It has the original cotton string with the price tag still attached in the original position. Price on the tag is of the date it was sold. Which is very, very, very, much lower then today. This gun has never been fired. It came with a mounted scope from the original dealer. And again I must stress this gun does not have a mark/scratch on it of any kind. I was just wondering what the value of it would be today. I would appreciate your help.

Belgium Browning S22

Hello. I am a new member to the forum. I am looking for some interest and feed back on a 1965 Belgium Browning S 22 Semi Grade 1. This gun is in Mint condition / Brand new condition. I have the original Browning packaging box and manual. The first page of the manual shows the date of sale as Aug. 28, 1965. Gun has the original price tag strung on a cotton cord attached in the original position onto the trigger guard. Gun came from the store with a mounted scope. Again I would like to stress that the gun is in mint condition not a mark/scratch, it has been never fired...I was wondering if anyone would know of a resendable price to ask for it? Your help is appreciated....

They're selling for around a grand (new). So that's a place to start from, if yours is in new condition. Someone may pay a bit more, if they want a vintage piece, that's immaculate.
The scope would add more value, but that depends on the value of the scope. Typically, .22's don't get really expensive scopes put on them - but, maybe your's is ?

5bucks .....
Without pictures thats all it is worth.
What was the list price on the gun back in the 60's?
I'm guessing about $35.00 from a place like the Bay....

I just ordered that funky cantilevered scope base with "Browning" stamped on it, and rings for that base, for a made-in-1967 Browning SA-22 - be prepared to pay a LOT more for that base and rings, than that rifle cost when it was new.

I found if you had that rifle apart and put it together it took 5 or 6 shots for the grouping to settle down... I also found if you pulled the breech block back and let it slam ahead 5 or six times before loading and shooting that settled the grouping down as well.
